Dulce Santana
Dulce Santa attended San Jose State University and a proud member of the National Association of Hispanic Nurses. Growing up she always wanted to be a healer and when she saw the interaction between nurses and patients while volunteered at the county hospital, Dulce knew that she was going to be a registered nurse. For Dulce, nursing isn’t just a career it is part of a social justice movement that fights for the rights of vulnerable populations and for the quality of healthcare of those people who need it most. Being a member of the local chapter of NAHN provides opportunities to contribute as part of a volunteer team that practices community health nursing at local churches. She loves being able to educate the community about preventative health and is studying to take her NCLEX or National Council Licensure Examination.
